Anyone that knows me understands that a love for West Coast Hip-Hop has coursed through my veins long before I first put hands on the decks. What not everyone realises is that I’ve spent the better half of the last few years travelling back and forth between LA & Sydney, working on tunes with A-grade writers & producers “LA Story” is the intersection of those two journeys. It balances deep, funk-inspired baselines and percussion, with synths and energy that match what I’m playing in clubs every week. Samrai is the finest turntabilist Australia has ever produced, It’s been a pleasure to watch his career grow and expand. Right from the start, I knew the track needed scratches from a cut technician. So I called in the best. The single G-House remix is from newcomers Where It’s ATT. I launched Crookwell Recordings as a way to foster new talent, and I have no doubt these guys are about to have every A-lister calling to collab.”
