“Long Time Coming” is the first single off Los Angeles trio Outsyders forthcoming debut album. It provides a prime introduction to a project that will take listeners through the groups multi-cultural upbringing. The group consists of Priivv, Tommy D and Prince The Rookie. In speaking on their creative process, the group mentioned:
“Long Time Coming is a Hip-Hop track with a country twang to it. We like to push boundaries and come up with unique tracks to combine different genres with our three different sounds. This record has been considered “Country Trap” from those that have heard it. We have worked hard to find a sound that is truly “us” and we believe we now have.”
About Outsyders
Trap, rock and country heavily influence the Outsyders sound. Priivv originates from the midwest with a diverse background in hip hop and rock rhythms. Although Fayetteville, North Carolina may have given Tommy D his wings, hip hop is where he found himself at home. In the first grade, St. Louis elementary school system gave birth to Prince The Rookie’s love for hip hop. This is when he discovered Too Short’s music and the rest is history. Individually they showed promise, but together, it’s a LONG TIME COMING…
